Women of Light of Christ — Thrift Shop

Our thrift shop in Lottsburg is such a blessing to our church. This is a major endeavor for our church women and is itself an outreach ministry as well as a prayer resource to the community. "Big Blue" is shorthand for our blue-painted building in Lottsburg (see map below) that houses the thrift shop. It is the source of funding to suport the Women of Light of Christ outreach projects, scholarship, and other miscellaneous expenses.

The Prayer Room in the thrift shop is a comfortable and welcoming retreat for anyone with a need. Some visitors just want someone to listen, and we want to be there to help.

This ministry outreach is a great place to volunteer as a cashier or helper. Our volunteers report meeting the most wonderful customers, forming lasting friendships. The opportunity to pray for visitors deepens our respect and love for those, like us, who reach to God for help in times of need.

Volunteering can be done as little as one day a month or whatever your schedule allows. Each weekday shift is three hours:  10:00 AM–1:00 PM and from 1:00 PM–4:00PM on Tuesday through Friday. On Saturday the shift is 10:00 AM–2:00 PM.

And remember to donate. Our thrift shop manager, Linda Krisman, and Irene Haley, our Assisant Manaver, work with all donations and ensures that the shop continues to be the outstanding boutique and mission outpost that is loved by all who visit.
