Light of Christ —Altar Guild

The Altar Guild ministry is open to anyone who feels called
to serve at the Lord’s table.

The mission of our Guild is to serve and glorify the Lord and to prepare the chancel area for the upcoming service so that all will go smoothly for the celebrant. It is a true joy to prepare the altar area for worship services. No special skills are necessary to be a part of this ministry, just a willingness to serve Jesus and our clergy and congregation.

The members of the Altar Guild serve for one month each year in a team of at least two people. The team sets up the altar on Saturday mornings and then cleans up after the service on Sunday. Training is given to new members and all are invited to join.

The Flower Guild was created in 2016 to design flowers for the most important festival services, including Easter, Christmas, and Thanksgiving. After learning what flower arrangements work best in the new chancel, special arrangements of fresh flowers (as well as silk flowers) are crafted and presented as to the glory of God. The Flower Guild is another opportunity to offer one's talents in service to others.
